Flesh weapons:

"Flesh Weapons" is a series that explores traditional medieval weapons reimagined from soft fleshy body parts. Both forms, (the cold metal weapon and the tender wrinkled body) are instantly recognizable and ask the viewer to consider the roles both violence and gender play in society. How do we embody ourselves in a modern world where violence often looks so different than it did in the past? Does drone warfare make is easier to kill than with a tool directly held in hand? What does it mean to wield a weapon that is made from the bodies it is intended to harm?
